What a fantastic day I had speaking at PlatformNE in Newcastle on Friday! Honestly, I’m still buzzing. Not only because it was my first time stepping onto the stage to deliver a public talk, but because the entire experience reminded me just how brilliant the North East digital community is.
Massive thanks go to Paul for the invite, and for organising an event that was genuinely top-class from start to finish. It was a real honour to share the stage with inspiring minds like David Warren, Arjun Lingam Jayaraman, Simon Raybould, Eldon Jobe, and Rachel Hodgson—every single one of you brought something special to the day. The insights and energy you shared were incredible, and you all made Friday one to remember.
I won’t lie—I felt a fair bit nervous about speaking publicly for the first time, not to mention the pressure of delivering a live demo. But here’s the brilliant thing about Marketing Automation: it does the heavy lifting so I could focus more on my talk (and taking a few calming breaths!). It’s amazing how smooth technology makes things, especially when you need it most.
A special shout-out also goes to John Forth for capturing the day perfectly with his brilliant photos and videos. They truly highlight just how special the event was.
