DCS already had a strong mark: the bold, slanted Payroll wordmark on a blue bar. We kept it and built everything around it. The logo blue and black lead in print, with a brighter web blue and dark slate on screen. Their line “Your payroll partner. Experience the difference with us.” runs across the print work so it all reads as one company.

We designed an A4 sheet that answers the questions a business owner asks first: why outsource, what is included in managed payroll, and what other clients say. A clear table shows what comes as standard and what is optional, so nobody has to guess.

On the Bar.
Beer mats get picked up, turned over and taken home. We designed square mats with a big QR code on a backdrop of payroll numbers, the main services on one side and a straight “scan to get started” on the other. We also made a Sunderland version that leads with “your local Sunderland payroll partner”.

DCS reward clients who refer another business. We built the email set for that scheme: an invite to existing clients, an intro and a follow-up for the business being referred, and a thank-you. Each one has Sunderland and Glasgow versions and uses merge fields, so every client sees their own name and their own referral code.

We designed and built the new dcspayroll.co.uk. It explains each service on its own page, has pages for the sectors DCS know best, from hospitality and healthcare to construction and CIS, and gives Sunderland and Glasgow their own about pages with the real team. A quote form, phone number and client login sit in the header on every page.

at Every Step.
When DCS moved to sending sensitive documents by Sophos Secure Message, their clients needed help to open them. We tested the whole process ourselves, then wrote a step-by-step guide with a screenshot for every stage: activate your account, sign in, read, reply with attachments, save and forward. It now sits on the portal page of the DCS website.

Payslips Online,
Without the Calls.
DCS clients get their payslips and P60s through an online portal. We made a matching guide that walks people through registering, setting a password and turning on one-time password security. The aim is simple: fewer people stuck at the login screen, and fewer calls to the DCS team.
