New Name,
New Website.
Ray Duell runs accredited health and safety training. Partway through his new website, Duell Training became Influence360 Training & Consultancy. We designed the logo for the new name, built the site around his courses and showed him how to update it himself.
- WHO — Ray Duell, Duell Training, now Influence360 Training & Consultancy
- WHAT — Website Concepts, Logo Design, Brand Colours, WordPress Design & Build, Course Pages, Training Session
- WHEN — 2025
- WHERE — North East England
- HOW — Two working concepts, a logo that fits the new name and a site Ray can run himself
A Trainer’s Site,
Built Around Courses.
Ray trains teams in first aid, food safety, fire safety, mental health and health and social care. He wanted a modern site that put his courses front and centre. He sent us his course content and a few sites he liked, and we took it from there.
- Courses grouped so visitors find the right one fast
- A clear way to enquire about any course
- Easy for Ray to update after launch
Two Working Sites,
Not Mock-ups.
We built two clickable prototypes from Ray’s content and the styles he liked. Version 1 was clean and structured, with the training options up front. Version 2 was bolder, with more colour, imagery and a stronger “why choose us” section. Ray liked both, so we used Version 2 as the base and brought in the course category selector from Version 1.
- Two full prototypes to click through
- Version 2 chosen as the base design
- Category selector carried over from Version 1
A Mark for
Influence360.
While the site took shape, Ray settled on a new company name: Influence360 Training & Consultancy, with the strapline “Be the reason someone stays safe”. We got the look of the site right first, then designed the logo to fit it: a looping 360 symbol in sky blue, a navy wordmark and a full set of colour, navy, white and black versions.
- New logo for the new company name
- Colour, navy, white, black and gradient versions
- SVG, PNG and JPG files, plus a favicon
Sky Blue, Navy
and a Hit of Pink.
The colours come straight from the logo. Navy and sky blue carry the site, teal picks out highlights and underlines, and a bright pink is kept for the contact button so it always stands out. Nunito is used throughout, for a friendly, readable feel.
- Palette taken from the logo artwork
- Pink reserved for the main call to action
- Nunito for headings and body text
Say the Change,
Then Show the Courses.
Existing customers know the Duell name, so the site says it plainly: a top bar and the hero both read “Duell Training is now Influence360 Training”. The top bar also came from Ray’s feedback, so the logo sits in a proper header. Below that, visitors choose between classroom training, qualifying at home and e-learning.
- Name change explained in the first screen
- Classroom, Qualify at Home and E-Learning routes
- Offers, Why 360, IOSH and Blog in the main menu
- Built on WordPress so Ray can edit it
Category, Course,
Then Enquire.
We agreed a simple structure with Ray: a category page, the courses inside it, then the details of each one. We built one category and one course first, using his First Aid content, so he could approve the layout. Then the rest followed, from first aid and food safety to IOSH Managing Safely.
- Category pages such as First Aid and Food Safety
- A page for each accredited course
- Layout tested on one course before the rest
Ray Runs It
Himself.
Ray wanted to make small changes without calling us each time. So the site is set up for easy editing, and we finished with a training session to show him how. If he wants to change a heading or add a course, he can. We’re still here when he needs us.
- Training session at the end of the build
- Plain English, no technical jargon
- Ongoing support when Ray needs it
Works on
Any Screen.
The layout stacks cleanly on phones, with the name change, the headline and the courses still easy to reach.
- Responsive layout on phones and tablets
- Same content and menu as on desktop
Dave at Northern just completed my brand new website. I’m so pleased with it. The functionality, theme and the extra training session at the end! Just in case I want to make some small revisions in the future. He even redone my logo to make it fit! Dave is very easy to work with and didn’t bamboozle me with technical jargon either! Look forward to continue to work with Dave in the future. Thank you for everything.
